Community Park clean up Dates

Things are picking up in Lehighton, figuratively and literally! Our New Parks and Recreation Board has hit the ground running, we have a cadre of 14 people on the committee, liaisons to the Pool Pals, and the Recreation Center. We're working on evaluations of each park, the first was the Grove and we'd dearly like some help sprucing the place up. Every time we've visited The Grove after school lets out or on Saturday, there are no less than 20 children there between the playground equipment and the basketball courts. We're hoping to have mulch donated to freshen up and deepen the mulch beds under the playground equipment. Do a little clean up and get input from neighbors and parents. Come out and give us a hand and tell us what you'd like to see (or not see) at our local parks. Give us suggestions regarding the Summer Concert series (bands, come show us what you've got) and meet some of the members of our Parks and Recreation Board, including Borough Council Members.
